Hey there! Welcome back to my blog, HeyItsNamra. I just got back from an unforgettable trip to Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you. From the lively Kasol market to a peaceful moment at the Manikaran Gurudwara, and everything in between, this trip was filled with unique experiences, fun adventures, and loads of laughter. Here’s a rundown of my time in this beautiful little village nestled in the Parvati Valley.
Camping at Hilfiger Camp: The Adventure Begins
Our journey started at Hilfiger Camp, a cozy spot just outside Kasol, where we set up camp by the beautiful Parvati River. The ambiance was perfect — a mix of nature, good vibes, and the promise of adventure. We gathered around a bonfire, the warm flames crackling against the cool evening air. The night was magical, with the river’s gentle flow and the stars above us. We even stayed up until 1 a.m., just sitting by the river, soaking in the peacefulness and chatting about life.
The fun didn’t stop there. We had a disco night at the campsite, where the music was blaring, and everyone was dancing their heart out. If you’ve ever had a pillow fight under the open sky with your friends, while your campmates are laughing and cheering you on — you know the kind of fun I’m talking about. There was so much energy that we couldn’t stop laughing even when we were out of breath!
Kasol Market: A Slice of Local Life
The next morning, we ventured into Kasol Market — a small, bustling street lined with cafes, shops, and local stalls. The aroma of fresh Tibetan food, the sound of local music, and the vibe of travelers from all over the world filled the air. I loved exploring the local Kasol area, meeting some of the friendly locals, and getting a feel of the town’s chill yet lively atmosphere. It’s such a great place to just wander around, shop for souvenirs, and sample some local delicacies.
A Spiritual Journey to Manikaran Gurudwara
After a relaxing time in the market, we decided to take a bus ride to Manikaran Gurudwara, a holy site for Sikhs and Hindus alike. The journey was scenic, with winding roads and stunning views of the valley. Upon reaching the Gurudwara, we participated in the Langar (community meal) and even helped with washing the dishes. It was such a humbling and peaceful experience, giving me a deeper appreciation for the culture and community spirit here.
The Dog and The Chaos
One of the funniest moments of the trip happened at the camp. So, we were all hanging out in our tents when out of nowhere, a dog entered one of our friend’s camps and decided to sleep right next to him. What followed was pure chaos — a mix of laughter, confusion, and some frantic attempts to figure out how to get the dog to leave. It’s hard to explain, but imagine a bunch of friends trying to sort out this canine conundrum while cracking up at the absurdity of it all. Trust me, it was hilarious!
Girls’ Dressing Up, Boys’ Jokes, and the Ultimate Camp Vibes
The whole trip was filled with those quirky, fun moments that only happen when you’re surrounded by friends. The girls had a blast dressing each other up in random outfits, trying on funky hats and scarves, while the boys couldn’t stop making fun of the situation. You know how it is — no one lets you live down those funny moments. But that’s what made the whole trip so special. Every single second felt like it was full of pure, unfiltered joy.
A Journey to Remember
From the serenity of the Parvati River to the joy of dancing at disco night, from the sacredness of Manikaran Gurudwara to the chaos of the dog incident at the camp, my trip to Kasol was a perfect mix of spiritual reflection, adventure, fun, and unforgettable moments with friends. If you’re looking for a getaway that offers both relaxation and excitement, Kasol is a must-visit destination.
I hope this post gives you a glimpse of my amazing trip. If you’re planning a visit to Kasol, let me know — I’d love to share more tips and stories.
